First thing you want to do is set up your weapons (Skills)
Click skills and only advance in one weapon at first.
Be sure to advance on all defs, for all weapons will be swinging at you in the Arenas. Also be sure to make your chosen weapon your preferred weapon as well while here.
Next....set up your stats.
Click stats and advance as you see fit. For newer players I suggest high dex, dis, and con. Use your own discretion on how much of each depending on your glads performance from the night before. Be sure to check it daily.
some guide lines... Strength: how hard you hit. Dexterity: speed and agility Intelligence: your ability to make a good decision in battle. Constitution: determines how much health you have, or how well you take a hit. Discipline: determines how many mistakes you do or don't make in battle. Wisdom: determines your ability to use your stats and skills together.
Next thing is to shop with your given silver. For new players I suggest Con or Dex.
Next step is to choose an arena to fight in. I suggest the one you have chosen for your preferred weapon or truth or dare where it is all weapons in one arena.
Next do your daily duels and return to the stats to advance with your winnings.
And lastly, click the daily arenas and click the number of glads in that arena. A seperate list should pop up. Use this list to set your enemy list from. Make sure that you are in that arena first, then copy and paste to your enemy list each glad you want to swing at first, second, etc.
NOTES
*Check the discussion forums daily *Apply for an alliance *set up My Page *Use red box in bank for your extra gold *Check out Extra shop *Check and enter the CA's often *Sign in and update everything daily
If you are still not sure what to do....please also read the walk thru section as well. This also has ALOT of good info for you. :)
Walk Thru ------------ How to Play Walk Through
Ahhhh, need some more help? I know, I know, who wants to read instructions? Well here is a simple walk through of what is what and how you accomplish your goals.
Your goals! Well there is a great place to start! You are probably sitting there wondering what this game is about. Your goals should start out with building the best gladiator in the game. We all want to be the best, dont we? We dont play games to lose!
Now that that is out of the way, here is the hum-drum, monotone explanation of the game: A turn based strategy game involving player vs. player and arena battles in which you gain experience and gold to become the best gladiator in the game!
So, How do you do it? you ask. That will be totally up to you. But we are going to do our best to get you started, and have some understanding of how to do it.
First, lets look at the main screen. We have all our links on the left margin. Here is what they do, listed from top to bottom:
*Member Menu** >Welcome:This is the main screen that you arrive at when you log into the game. This will tell you if you are logged in or not.
>Sign Up: Where you create your gladiator name and password
>Gladiators: A link to a group of statistical listings of gladiators now playing. This includes the groups, top gladiators in each category.
>Reports: Daily Arena reports and breakdowns of each arena. When you view a particular arena, you can zoom (located at the top of the screen right under the arena name) which will give you a different statistical breakdown of who did what.
>Stats Of All Kinds: Self explanitory.
>Discussions: This is a message board. You can find answers to a lot of your game questions here, either by a previous gladiator asking, or by asking yourself.
1)Summary: This is all about you. Once you log in, this is the screen that comes up. It tells you your overall ranking, your overall performance in the daily arenas, your total experience points, gold and silvers
2)Last Night: This explains how you did the previous night in your daily duel.
3)Preferences: This is where you set your preferred weapon. Registered players can also change how their stats read if someone zooms in on them. Registered players can also change their email address. There are other preferences to go over, like your password. This is where you change, or set, how you want the game to communicate with you.
4)My Page: This is where you can make your gladiator your own. It gives whatever description you want it to have as well as any information you would like to add. The more stuff you add, the more likely you will be looked at and earn more bronze coins for the extra shop.
5)Gold Membership:This is where you register your gladiator. You don't have to pay to play, but Registration also opens up a lot of new options which I will explain in this walk through.
6)HELP: This is where Eric has given some advice as well as some explanation of what the game is about. I suggest you read that as well before starting.
7)Daily Arenas: An arena that runs every night at 9 AM EST. In this arena, you battle against other members that are in the same arena that you have chosen to battle in. This arena only has players in your experience group (which you can see by clicking the players in your group: ## button under the arena name).
8)Daily Duels: Where you go to battle players 1 on 1, for experience points. 3 Battles a day for Gold and 1 battle a day for none gold.
9)Bad Luck: For each daily duel you win you get a bad luck point. This link is where you distribute them. Bad luck points are used against your enemies to try and hinder their performance in the daily arena only, Bad Luck does NOT affect the Controlled Arenas.
10)Primary: This is where your primary target list is located. This is where you list who you want to go after in the daily arena. If you do not list anyone, you will attack random.
11)Post Office: This is where you receive messages sent by other players, as well as send them out.
12)Stats: Adjust your players stats with the experience you have won.
13)Skills: Adjust your players skills with the gold you have won.
14)Equipment: This is where you can purchase equipment to help boost your stats and skills. You use silvers to purchase the equipment which are won in the controlled arenas, by referring other players that register, as well as your monthly silver which is generously given to you by Wowing The Great.
15)Extra Shop: This is where you get to spend your bronze coins which you earn by people zooming your My Page. The more diversity of things you have there, the more likely you will be visited. Make sure to create a good My Page for your gladiator.
16)Alliances: If you have chosen to join an alliance, this is where you can see who is in your alliance and communicate with them via email. If you have not chosen to join another alliance, you can create one if you are a Gold Member.
17)Join An Alliance: This is a listing of all the alliances presently active in which you can apply to join up with.
18)CAA: This is a controlled arena, in other words, you choose the actions every day, and you win gold, experience and silvers in this arena. In this arena, you fight with your alliance if you have chosen to be in one, and even if you are knocked out, if one of your alliance win, you get a portion of what they get for winning.
19)CAB: Same as CAA, except there are no alliance bonuses. This is a free for all. There can only be one winner.
20)NCA: This is another controlled arena where only the new players can enter and play. Again Alliance bonuses do not apply here.
21)GCAA: Same as the CAA, but is restricted for gold members only.
22)GCAB: Same as the CAB, but also restricted for gold members only.
23)Coop Bank: This is where you can exchange your gold and silver as well as trade it for different things, as well as store it for a small percentage more in return. Please click it to read more about the features it has.
24)Zoom: This is where you can zoom in on another player and see their summary screen here. Just remember that if they are a registered player, their stats may be adjusted.
25)Discussions: This is a message board. You can find answers to a lot of your game questions here, either by a previous gladiator asking, or by asking yourself. Be sure to check in here daily for news and updates.
26)Glad Sitting: This is where you can set another glad in the game to watch your glad if you cannot sign on. Again click it for more explanation on how it works. NEVER GIVE YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE!!
27)Logout:Where you leave the game.
All right, all right! You are ready to do something now arent you? Start with your preferences button. You need to choose your preferred weapon of combat. Your choices are: unarmed, piercing(sword), slashing(axe), and crushing(ball and chain). Use the scroll box under the default weapon that states that it is your preferred weapon, highlight your choice, and save. Now you need to go to your stats button. You should see Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Constitution, Discipline, and Wisdom.
Strength: how hard you hit. Dexterity: speed and agility Intelligence: your ability to make a good decision in battle. Constitution: determines how much health you have, or how well you take a hit. Discipline: determines how many mistakes you do or dont make in battle. Wisdom: determines your ability to use your stats and skills together.
After each stat is a number which represents the level your gladiator is at. The number in the parenthesis is the amount you add for the equipment you have. Then there is another number followed by a +. This number is how much exp it is going to cost for you to raise that stat by one level. You need to decide how to build your gladiators abilities here. Pick a stat and click on the plus sign, the page will refresh and you will see your level raised and the cost to move up to the next level also raised. Use all the experience you can raising the stats as you want. When you are out of experience to use, click on the skills button
This is where you are going to train your gladiator in how well you use the weapon of choice, or all weapons, and your defense skills. I highly recommend you only raise the attack skill in the preferred weapon you have chosen, and raise the defend skill against all weapons. When you have used all the gold you can, go to the daily arena button.
The daily arena is where you battle those in the arena you choose to fight in. The other gladiators are all within your experience group which you can view on the Gladiators button. When the page opens, you will see six arenas listed. The top 3 and the first in the second row are all the preferred weapon arenas. You will find one arena with the weapon of that arena pictured. If you choose one of these arenas, all of the players in this arena will be fighting with the same weapon. The next arena, One Way Only, is a random weapon arena. Every night a random weapon will be chosen and all players in this arena will fight with that weapon. The last arena is Truth or Dare. This arena has players fighting with their preferred weapon. All weapons are used here. If the arena you choose to run in does not have enough players for it to run (10 players required for the arena to run) you will automatically be put in Truth or Dare. You will see underneath each arena either an arrow pointing up or a big O. The arena with the O is the arena you were put in when you signed up. If this is not the arena you wish to be in, then click the arrow underneath the particular arena you want to play in, and the page will refresh with the O underneath the arena you have chosen. There is also a In your group:## underneath the name of each arena. If you click on this, all the players in your group in that arena will come up on a separate page. This is all you do here. The arena will automatically run at 9 AM EST. Check out the PRIMARY list options to possibly help you in your arena.
Now we have our daily duels. On this option you can pick a player and duel them. You gain experience for every daily duel you participate in, regardless of the outcome. Of course you get more experience for winning than you do for losing! There will be a scroll bar with a gladiators name in it. If you scroll down you will see that all the gladiators with more experience than you are listed here. If you choose to duel a gladiator with less experience points than you have, you have to type it into the box next to the scroll and click the duel now button. Your page should refresh after you choose who to duel and click the duel now. There will be a listing of what happened in the duel. Your opponent will receive an email of the duel, and so will you. Now go back to the stats and allocate your experience that you just earned. You can do this 3 times if a gold member each day or 1 time if not gold. You receive these duels to do every day at 9 AM EST. You can always have fun beating up on a friend or family member that is in the game too!;)
Well that is basically it. You have done all your turn options for the day. I recommend you search out the site, check all the buttons, click on the title of each page to get the faq. Read the boards and post your questions, it can be very helpful, not only for you but to other players. At 9 AM EST, reports are sent out and all your actions are reset. You can do your duels again, allocate stats, skills, etc.
Good luck and Battle Hard!
Help with My Page:
Adding in a PIC:
This is more simpler then you may think. As long as you know the http address of the pic you want to put up.
First you put; (a less then sign)IMG SRC=" (whatever the http address is you want to use) "WIDTH=250(Greater then sign)
NOTE* I wrote less then and greater then cause the game won't allow me to type the actual key I need to show you. I am referring to the less then and greater then signs to the left of your M key. Simple enough huh?:) hope to see alot of you putting up some cool pics in your my pages.:)
Adding in from You Tube: Simply find the you tube you want to show, and apply the embed code directly to your page.
