How to play this game

Important Notes
  • This is not an action/Nintendo type of game. This is more like a strategy game that requires good thinking in order to play it successfully.
  • This game is turn based. It means that there is only so much you can do in one day (or turn) with your gladiator.
  • Also note that a few thousands players play this game and that you decide on the interactivity you want to have with them. We have tool such as graffiti, chat, alliances, controlled arenas and duels that will help you decide how much interactivity you want with the other players.

    The First Turn
So this is your first time in the game? Follow these steps and all will be clearer.
  • Step 1: Try to imagine what kind of gladiator you want to be. What kind of weapon will you train the most? Do you want to be fast, intelligent and strong? Will you play alone or are you going to seek allies?
  • Step 2: It is time to choose your preferred weapon. Click on the link Preferences. The top section of that page is to set your preferred weapon. Choose between UNARMED, PIERCING, SLASHING or CRUSHING. Click on SAVE once you have chosen.
  • Step 3: You normally start with some experience points you can use to improve your stats. Click on the link Stats. All stats are useful.
Each STAT has a different function and can affect how well your gladiator progresses in the game. You will need to experiment and test out the different combinations of advancement on your STATS to gain a balanced advantage to make your gladiator advance faster and become stronger in the game. Strength affects how hard you hit someone. Dexterity affects your speed and agility. Intelligence affects the ability to tell the difference between a head and a toe. Constitution affects how many times you can take a hit before going unconscious. Your Discipline determines how many mistakes you make during a fight.
  • Step 4: Gold pieces are the common currency you are going to use all along the game. You should have some right now, and should use them to train your skills. Click on the link Skills. There are two types of skills: attack skills and defend skills. We suggest that you only train the attack skill of your preferred weapon. As for the defend skills, it will be up to you.
  • Step 5: Do you want to try getting experience points right away? Click on the link Duels. Choose any opponent in the pull down menu and click on the Duel Now button. Even if you win or lose, you should have won experience points. Go back to the Stats page and do some improvement.
  • Step 6: You now should choose an arena. There are 6 arenas to choose from. The first four arenas are for players that concentrate their defense and attack skills on their preferred weapon. The fifth one is a random arena and is normally chosen by players with balance attack and defense skills. The sixth one is played with the preferred weapon of every gladiator. It is normally use when your defense skills are balanced. Arenas are run at midnight and an email report will be sent to your email address.
